He lives in a beyond belief mansion with a pool and all the luxuries you can imagine. A perfect pad to bring the most gorgeous women to have passionate sex with. Luckily for him there’s never any strings attached and he isn’t expected to remember their names. Let’s not forget about the epic parties Clyde likes to throw. Let’s just say the grand opening of Taj Majal was nothing compared to those epic parties. Clyde has always been able to get everything out of life he ever wanted. It has lead to a vain and lonely life. Not that Clyde is aware in the slightest. The viewpoint of Clyde and reality is completely at odds.
Clyde is all about Clyde. Ever since he was real young he was taught to be ruthless. The motto is either you are in first place or you completely lost no gray area. Clyde came from humble beginnings. His dad was a P.E teacher and his mom was a secretary. Clyde was the only child so as you can imagine he was the apple of his parent’s eye. His parents had high hopes for Clyde and wanted to achieve heights they can only dream of.
Clyde was naturally very intelligent and charismatic. He got into Yale and eventually got a M.B.A. He was able to secure many academic scholarships to fund his education. While in Yale, Clyde worked many odd jobs and with his money he made many smart investments. Clyde’s financial acumen was very broad among a variety of private sectors. The bulk of Clyde’s wealth came from financial advising and real estate. Up until now Clyde has never had to deal with any significant failures. When everything goes your way it can build confidence. Coupled with being the only child and being used to having your parent’s constant attention can lead to narcissism. Clyde was as narcissistic as they come.
Even in conversations Clyde had a knack for making everything about him. If you called him out on it he would take the victim mentality and manipulate you into feeling guilty for undermining him. Clyde to get his way in business deals never takes no for an answer. He is persistent to the very end. His tenacity makes him a very tough negotiator. To achieve the success he has you have to be a ruthless cold blooded killer. It’s funny how much you can achieve when you don’t give a shit about others.
Long ago Clyde did have a serious relationship with a woman named Claire. Clyde also had a best friend named Carl. Unfortunately he lost both. He was found cheating on Claire and as for Carl he got him fired by snitching on him at work for fraudulent activities. Clyde needed to get Carl out of the way to position himself to get a promotion. As for Claire he wanted to cheat on her because Claire was not of high social economic status.
The way Clyde sees it Claire and Carl are both disloyal and ungrateful. Claire should be happy Clyde was even interested in her. Clyde felt that if Carl deserved the promotion he would’ve played the game the way he did. Clyde was also upset that Carl didn’t congratulate him on his promotion. Like I said Clyde is always the victim.
Clyde’s ambitions are insatiable it’s always on to the next thing. With that in mind, Clyde’s success was also his downfall. Since Clyde was never satisfied he was incapable of ever enjoying the fruits of his labor. Constantly trying to climb the social hierarchy has led to Clyde’s bitterness and narcissistic tendencies. Worst of all Clyde was not in tune with his emotions so he never addressed his anhedonia.
Without Clyde noticing his sleep started to deteriorate. His lack of sleep started to cause him to be more aggressive and violent. Later on both of his parents died. His only support system is forever gone. Clyde lost his fire and edge. Without the fire his livelihood was completely out the window. Lesson learned always be humble no matter how successful you get and don’t use people as a stepping stool. What goes around comes around.
