Trying to focus on what’s important is all relative. Especially since most of us get sidetracked very easily. Getting organized and disciplined is more than half the battle. Unfortunately, life is like a bunch of monkey wrenches being thrown at you all at once. It’s very important to have multiple contingency plans to keep yourself on track. Another thing to consider is emotions and principles. If situations were always black and white it would be easier to make the most impactful decisions. It’s important to look at resolutions of situations from multiple perspectives. Being tunnel visioned will stunt your growth. Whatever you do don’t rush decision making. However, don’t engage in decision paralysis. Find that happy medium where you can make proper decisions without feeling rushed. More importantly, you are only in control of your decisions so don’t pull any punches.
